We dropped the camper van off (I think we were both glad to be back to the creature comforts of staying in a hotel. Like a bath).
We have seen even more tamps than Los Angeles, which is a shame because it is the nicest city we've been to and it doesn't feel like it tries.
Although it is warm enough during the day when in the sun, Hattie and I can't get used to how cold it is at night and think we are in for a major shock when we get to Toronto.
We rode the cable cars up to Nob Hill, (they run on cables beneath the road rather than overhead cables like trams), which felt scary when going down a very steep hill into Chinatown.
We've tried the Chinese everywhere but we still miss the one from home. It, like tea, can't be emulated.
All the rooms in the hotel are named after famous films filmed (or set) in the area. Ours is the 'Dirty Harry' room which is probably the coolest. There's also 'A View to a Kill' and 'The Graduate' amongst others.
