Well I think we would both agree, Hawaii really wasnt what we expected at all. We stayed in the Waikiki beach vicinity and for the most famous beach in the world we were both a little disappointed. I suppose being the most famous beach in the world means that a lot of people wanna see you and there were a lot of tourists and it seemed to be making the most of them.

Even on our first day we were up early - about 6am- and walked along the beach there were still lots of people around. We decided to keep away from the beach and take a trek to one of the sights Manoa Falls. After an hours trek in quite tricky conditions (what i mean by tricky is me wearing carls shoes and him wearing mine as mine hurt my feet!!) we arrived at the top of the waterfall! If you ever decide to do this one yourself...MAKE SURE IT HAS BEEN RAINING!! The waterfall was quite a disappointing trickle although the walk itself through the 'jungle' area was worth it! Oh and if your going in the near future take some bug spray!!

Our second day we hired a jeep! It must have been the most stressful day we have had so far!! I have never seen a man get so angry with the woman in the SatNav!! these things should come with warnings!! Oh and if your gonna hire one of these make sure they put the top down for you as angry man was too stressed to do this and I was just keeping out the way!

We drove around half of the island and found some beautiful, less touristy areas - one being Banzai Pipeline where there only seemed to be a handful of people - If we had have had longer I think we may have come back here to do some serious sun worshipping.

Overall our advice for Hawii is ake plenty of money, try and find the less touristy areas andwatch out for the SatNav lady!!
