Stayed in Point Hostel with very interesting characters such as Chris who told us about the effects of the cactus drink San Pedro. We drank and walked around the city feeling fairly elated.
Found out about full moon ceremony at Ayahuasca Wasi best place in the world on the best night to take the second sample of Ayahuasca
. Diego Palma provided an awesome professional speech, the ayahuasca was incredibly strong, after only ten minutes I couldn't walk without ramming myself into the banister due to colours spinning around the room, live music filled the temple with multiple talented singers/chanters. A woman made an extremely emotional speech to the shamans unborn baby trying to turn him around ready for birth. Explaining about the babies head wanting to be close to its mothers heart. A twelve year old boy drank. Massive feelings of love for family and friends.
Saqsaywaman event on the hill with a fantastic ceremony for the Sun God, where they sacrificed a Llama.
Met three English lads called Alex, Gavin and Luke. The four of us visited San pedro market that provided decent food, clothing and we witnessed hundreds of Guinea Pigs and Frogs being killed in front of the meat section.
Cusco was awash with colour! The Inti Raymi celebrations were in full throttle when we arrived so we headed to the main plaza. I nearly got pick-pocked three times in an hour with a very cunning sand trick, they throw the sand up in the air so it hits the top of your head, your initial reaction is to look up, at that point they steal things from your pockets. Luckily I caught the woman's hand as she tried to make off with my iPhone. We decided to buy some ridiculous masks and join the carnival, mainly due to the free beer given to those involved!
