Well, although Saturday was a hardly a whizz-bang day, it was very necessary. Slept in for a good while before we went down the main street with Jenny to pick up some postal stuff to send back our souvenirs. Francie got a cheap (for here) haircut, but wouldn't go back - she realised halfway through the scissors still had someone else's hair on them - urggh.

Sam spent the entire afternoon packing the boxes and envelopes in a desperate attempt to get the best value for money, and send everything home. Frances despaired at the length of time Sam required to get his mini freight fix, as she watched the afternoon disappear for what would have taken her 5 minutes. Husbands, cant live with them......

Mick arrived home later that night after watching the hapless English getting slaughtered by the Indians at the Oval on the third day of the last test. After parting with something like 40 pounds to watch the day, he was understandably frustrated!

Sunday was a little more successful, with us taking ourselves off to Greenwich for the afternoon - browsing through the funky little market, and having a look through the royal observatory. Both of us have fully ruled out being astronomists, navigators or anything scientific after struggling to understand exactly how they accurately calculate longitude and latitude at sea, despite reading and rereading the signage. Being at the Greenwich meridian was interesting too.

Home again at about 6 to spend the rest of the evening with Jenny and Mick, Jenny cooking up another Roast Lamb and enormous Yorkshire pudding for tea. This was easily our favourite meal (along with the one she cooked on the first night) of our entire trip so far, and will take some beating, even with the culinary mastery that awaits us in France.

Sam spent about 5 hours on the blog and photos etc, unfortunately not making to much of a dent into the weeks we are behind on it. In our case it sees like Blog is short for B(ack)log!!!
