hey hey all...this is my first attempt at this group email thing so i trust you enjoy...sorry for it taking so long but its kinda hard to pry myself away from all the lying on the beach, ya know? (er i mean studying spanish and admiring the culture) but i did finally manage to do it, yet not away from my sol... actually i did try to write one yesetrday, and after spending about 40 minutes composing a piece of golden, freshly baked, e-composition perfection the electricity decided to go out in the whole town for the second time this week... well, here it is again.
all the freaks make the world a beautiful place'...a statement i hold very true ...but i have to say upon arrival in this place i have decided to change it to all the immensely bronzeadas guapas make this world a v v beautiful place indeed. and seriously, im not exaggerating. compared to the london ratio of 'hot to not' being about 1 to 100, this is no comparison, 4 in 5. there is a long pedestrianised street, la Quinta, stretching all the way through town parallel to the beach filled with bars and restauants and clubs, and flowing with the aforemetioned chicas scantily clados and all unbelievably tanned. and spring break is not even on anymore. that was apparently amazing but, alas, i missed it. im in playa de carmen, mexico, btw for all of you who didnt pay attention when i was talking about it..ahem, Will.
so, i live in an aparment on the roof of the school on my own, which is cool. there are about 80 channels of cable tv, all in spanish, a kitchen with a broken toaster and a random coil stove type thing which i havent used bcos i dont have any pans...or since im lazy and there are 5567 restaurants. its also full of geckos, but i dont mind much since they eat all my mosquitos. the school is fine, classes a bit of a cotch. most people here are older, from like 20 to 34, but all awesome. the two guys in my class, 28 and 34 are both even more immature than me and we spend the whole time cracking up ceaselessly. no, K & D, i didnt think it was possible either. class is from like 9.30 to 1.30. yes, I get up at 9, you better believe it. ok fine 9.20...ok ok 9.30...OK 9.45, but i havent missed a day yet, not bad for me i think. the other day we rented a jeep and went to this huge park with a bunch of people 20 minutes south built around a bunch of ruins where we swam along an underground river...that was pretty cold...and some scarlet macaos attacked paolo, the italian guy...and we got free margaritas by pretending we were with some kind of financial convention before watching a show consisting of sever crazy games involving balls, on fire, being hit at other people with hips and shoulders by falling onto the floor...yeah sounds confusing doesnt it...oh and i dont mean cojones by balls, that would have been even more entertaining. other than that its pretty much going to the beach to endeavour to uninspiringly get as tanned as everyone else here, eating cheese filled tacos (youd love them darioush) followed by going out to a bar or club on said beach. we also went to a salsa club called mambo cafe last night after having a lesson on it the previous day, and that was pretty fun too. hmmm...it all sounds pretty sweet doesnt it? well, have fun in london yall im off to have a cold shower since thats all the four knobs in my shower seem to dispense, except for one day when the water was ONLY scorchingly hot...
