Well here we are ready to leave The Netherlands already and head for Germany tomorrow. Today we went into Amsterdam and did the usual tourist things such as Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum, canal boat ride and tour the red light district.
Corey and Lindsey seem to have survived everything in fine shape.
We really have not had as much free time this tour as we did in 2003, but that could change. Our guide is Dutch so we are getting a different perspective on things from her viewpoint also.
Today in Amsterdam they were trying the case of the Morrocan who murdered Van Gogh (Vincent's Grandson, I think) some time back. He confessed to the terrorist murder and there were several witnesses so the case should have moved along rather quickly, or so one would think. He also said if he gets the chance he will try it again. Our guide said she hoped they would find him guilty and send him back to Morocco so they could hang him. I told her that was so European to have another country do their dirty work for them. She did not seem to enjoy my comment. More on that later.
So everyone is doing well and I believe everyone is happy so until next time.
