Right, Noosa. Thankfully there are photos to go with this place...cos it's great! Took Greyhound bus from Brisbane which took around two hours. We were picked up from the bus station by the hostel owner in his mini bus. There were a good few of us lined up for a lift and talk about squashing us all in - he managed it though. Noosa is a small town on a penninsula seperated by a National Park. The Hostel was located on far side of the park from where we got off Greyhound; the Sunshine Beach side. Really beautiful there. We spent the first afternoon at the beach and returned to the Hostel only to discover Melbourne was experiencing it's biggest bush fire disaster in History. We watched the television that evening in disbelief. The next day we got up and went for a walk on the beach. We decided to explore Noosa National Park. There's a beach called Alexandra Bay so we took that particular track. After about 45 minutes we were delighted to see the water. A very secluded beach; there's no life guard, just an emergency phone. Ailbhe: Grechy, I think there's a guy down there in the nip. Michael: Don't be ridiculous. Ailbhe: I swear, I'm certain I saw.... Cue naked man walking by. Michael: Eh, I think I'm the only guy here wearing board shorts! We took a dip, avec clothes and left promptly before we were found out. None nudists at the nudist beach. Embarrassing really!
