Flew to Cairns. Just as well as most of the road between Brisbane and Cairns was flooded. Met a nice guy on the plane who took a taxi with us into Cairns and wouldn't let us pay as he was on business. Ah, it's the small things in life! Cairns is really tropical. Dengue Fever was rife when we were there which came as a bit of a surprise as we thought we'd left those killer Mosquitos behind in Brazil - not so. Anyway, the next morning Ailbhe bumped into a guy in the kitchen of the Hostel whom who she'd worked with. He knew her but she is still trying to work out in which part of the organisation he's based!
