G´day everyone. Well, we´re off...
Got to Dublin Airport thanks to one very excited Cathy Coyne! Thanks for the lift girl. Arrived in Madrid and Hertz wouldn´t accept Michael´s drivers license - the fact it was broken and his name had fallen off was the main factor, but he still protested!! So, the car was put in my name. Never drove a right hand wheel before this week...today, i did...right past the Hertz official. Then, we got out and swapped over!!
Dark when we arrived in Toledo (Seat of Presidency for UNESCO cities - 71 km south of Madrid), not much to see at night time. Popped into old town for a quick bite to eat and then went to bed.
Did a bit of sight-seeing in the morning. Went to Castilla-La Mancha Museo, museum which is free to visit. Massive and well worth the trip. Lunch in Bar R.
T.E Sante Fe and had two course lunch each along with small bottle of wine for sixteen euro. Grechy was beaming!!
The place is full of teenagers ( yes it is Tir na nOg). They must be all on school tours. Couldn´t get over it. We were falling over annoying skinny jeaned kids all day. Walked to square beside the Cathedral, where i decided to take a photo on ´my camera´...Grechy had the bag and well...you can see where this is going...
Went to another museum Centro de Interpretacion del Toledo Historica - AWFUL - don´t go there anyone...sticking to the free stuff from now on, it cost four euro each. Left it and walked past a bunch of Japanese tourists.
They were pointing at us saying ´camera, camera!´.
´No thanks´we said, we´ve our own camera. Then i thought they wanted to take a photo of us. Meanwhile Grechy was frantically searching through the bag.
´Camera´they kept saying and pointing up the hill.
Eventually we realised..our camera was gone! Japanese guy WITH BANDANA (very James Bond) ran us through the labarinth of streets (took the short cut much to Grechy´s delight!) and we arrived back in the square by the Cathedral where an American girl stood up and said,
´ I knew i´d see you guys around, this place is really small´.
Camera back on us, we took it easy for the rest of the day. Good learning lesson. One person must hold everything from now on...
Add on: before everyone jumps to conclusions-this is the first time we´ve mislaid a camera! And you will all be glad to know we are sticking to disposables for much of South America!

Man, I am glad that guy got your camera back. Sticking to disposables is a good tip!
Hello my darlings
Ok,I am now addicted to your blog. I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning looking at all your photos and I felt like I was right there with you.......except for the fact that it was lashing rain outside....kinda hard to pretend your in sunny Florida when you're freezing your tushy off here in Eire. So keep it up and I'll be watching. Miss you both to bits.
Sending you so much love from this end.
Slan,
Pep xxxxxxxxxx
