I pull into Krakow at the bright and early time of 7:00am. I
slept much better than I thought I would tonight, thankfully. The train car bed
may have been a bit claustrophobic, but I was damn tired, so it didn't matter.
I end up walking around the city for two hours, seeing as much as I could
before buying my ticket to Auschwitz. I really wish I had more time here. The
old town was amazingly well preserved, small parks were never more than one
block away, and trees lined nearly all of the streets. A huge castle located on
a hill had a dominating view of the city; I couldn't walk around it however on
account of my backpack. As soon as 9:00 rolled around I went out to the TI
office and bought my much cheaper than expected tickets to Auschwitz.
