We spent the morning in the Marais district, having breakfast in a cafe where we could use the internet for free, shopping, and waiting for some E6 films developed. After lunch we went to see "Les Egouts" - the sewers of Paris. It was chilly and actually above open flowing sewers. It was interesting to read about the history of Paris from the underground perspective, and especially to envision parts of Les Miserables that were set in the sewers. You will also see a picture of Curtis by a giant cleaning ball used to clean the sewer.
After the tour, we were pretty cold and tired (we couldn't think of anything else to do that didn't involve wandering around in the windy cold weather), so we finished off the day in another cafe reading and working on the computer.
