What can we say, difficult to find the words to describe this trip. Totally unique and an absolute must for anyone who has the slighest interest in seeing nature at its best. Florishing, adapting and continually amazing in its colours, shapes and ingenuity for survival.

Aboad the 16 person Beluga, we cruised for 4 nights around the isalnds of Santa Cruz, Isobella, Fernandina, Santago and Bartolome. We encountered many species of flora and fuana endemic to not only the Galapagos but the island which they live on.

The sad story of lonesome George, who despite international searches of zoo's and private collections, appears to be the last Giant Tortoise of his subspecies. Attempts to get him to mate with other sub species have failed, maybe after wandering alone on his island for over 80 years he has forgotten how A Galapagos Penguin

! Other slightly more dubious theories suggest he maybe 1) gay 2) tortoise mass murderer exiled to the island

We got to snorkel with Sealions, Galapagos Fur Seals, Pacific Green Turtles, Galapagos Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks and Galapagos Penguins amongst a million other colourful varities of sea life. We also got close to many birds and reptiles on land...anyway as a picture tells a 1000 words we'll leave you to look and the photos as we could go on for ever and bore you all to death.

One last thing, this trip would not have been as enjoyable if it weren't for the company of Anne & Glyn, my Mum & Dad, who travelled far to be with us. So a great big thank to them for quenching any homesickness at the mid point of our trip! A special thank you from Nicho for reducing our travelling weight by almost 20 kg, by taking a load of stuff home.
