So today, my mission was to go get a bank account and a phone...mission failure. I had been told that I didn't need to get a bank account before I could get a phone, so I decided that I would get the phone first. I traveled from Kamishakujii (where I live) to Harajuku where I would find a "softbank" (cell phone dealer). I had been to Harajuku before, when Becky and I went to check out the tree fort coffee shop, and the street performers. Harajuku is where you can buy the coolest stuff. Anyway, I arrived at Softbank and was shown a few 0 down cell phones. I picked a really nice blue one :) but when we started to do the paperwork, he required my Gaijin card which I had not recieved yet, but will be recieving on the 25th. Unfortunately it is impossible to get a cell phone without the Gaijin card (a Gainjin card is a card for Foreigners for alein registration). The gentleman at the counter asked me to come back when I have the Gainjin card and then we will work the cell phone dealie out.
After I was unable to get a cell, I decided that since I was in Harajuku I might as well do a little touring around. I cruized through the streets for a while, took some random pictures and then headed home.
After returning to Kamishakujii I hit up the grocery store to buy some noodles bread and cereal. I treated myself to a chocolate chip bun thing (amazing) and ate it as I walked home. I arrived at home and proceeded to check my email where, to my suprize, I had recieved an email from GABA accepting my application and asking for the closest Learning Studio to my area. I chose Meguro which is only about a half an hour journey from my house. I am so excited that I have a job. I am so thankful to the Big Guy upstairs!
So Becky finally got her tattoo done and it looks GREAT! I am so impressed with the skin artists here. I am pretty sure she agrees as well, although it is not too hard to tell from the look on her face. Mom I think I am going to get full sleeve tattoos here, I hope thats okay! :ŹD JK
Please feel free to comment on my Entries and Pictures, It would make my day!
Remeber to smile everyday!
I'm Back, and oh god, 5 VERY large beers later and a pikachu costume. Man, I am sooo ready for bed! Becky Santa and I drank some beers/wine and hung out to celebrate my job getting. It was very fun :) I am happy and ready for bed npow. mmmmm bed, yes, me go bed now,
gnight!
