So...oh man.
As you probably could have guessed, I hardly slept a wink Wednesday night because I was so excited. Actually when i did finally fall asleep, I remember realizing that I was sleeping and getting really stoked in my dream. Cody and I woke up REALLY early Thursday morning to get me to the airport, 530 am in fact. We probably could have slept a little longer, since I managed to jump an earlier flight to Vancouver. I hung out in the Vancouver airport for a few hours and then got onto my Tokyo flight. I was seated right at the back of the plane which wasn't too bad, but the TVs weren't working in my section, so I think I get extra aeroplan points or something (ooh I have to remember to check that out after this). The TVS weren't working but I atleast had some good company
The total flying time from Vancouver to Tokyo was 9 hours and 20 minutes, but we were all on that plane for ten and a half because of delays (my butt hurts just thinking about it). There was a Girl sitting behind me that actually is from Kamikawa, so I gave her my facebook name and she is going to send me some information on jobs around the Kamikawa area :). After we arrived at the Narita airport, I grabbed my bags and brought them to ANA baggage delivery service. Thank the Lord for ANA, if I had to carry my bags all the way to the Hostel I would have probably died/parished/dead and bloody along the way, just so you can make a name for yourself as an investigatory journalist, no matter how many people you leave dead and bloody along the way.Anywho, as I was taking the train, I managed to get to the Shinjuku station fine by myself, but when I arrived there I had to catch the train heading down the TOEI Shinjuku line to Akebonibashi station where I would be getting off. As I was standing at the subway platform in Shinjuku station two trains pulled up and I had no clue which one was mine, thinking quick, I swiftly asked a passing local for help. "sumimasen!" I exclaimed (with great relish) "Me, Canada, Lost, Akebonibashi!". "Ahhh" she replied, and leaving her bag behind walked me to the inside of the correct train.....then the doors closed (on my arms lol), and she was stuck with me for a whole stop without her bag, oh man, I felt like an idiot. At the next stop she jumped out and started to walk toward the train heading in the opposite direction. Until out of the corner of her eye she spotted something.....what was it?.....its....its.....A UNICORN WITH A STACK OF CASH HANGING OFF ITS HORN!!. so all was well, and it ultimately was a good thing she jumped in with me. I got a picture of it too, but unfortunately I left the lens cap on. oh well, there's always next time. After I arrived at my Hostel (the Ace inn Shinjuku) I grabbed my locker key and crawled into my closet bed....capsule thing, which was suprizingly comfy. I was sooo tired that I slept from 9pm till 230am....and I woke up thinking it was 11 the next day. Sure enough I couldn't get back to sleep so i stared at the roof of my capsule for a few hours and watch a movie on my Ipod (yay Treasure Planet!).
I continued my pointless sight-seeing journey until I felt content, and ended it off with a sandwich and a carton of coffee milk. and here I am now.

Snow!
lets see if I can remember all the little details of my trip so far. I woke up on Wednesday to a skiff of snow in Rocky city. After almost getting my parents computer working we left for Edmonton where I spent my last night in Canada at my older brother Cody's loft. It was really nice that my whole family could be there Wednesday night!
My FAMILY!

creature and I
. The gentleman sitting to my right was actually an employee of AirCanada traveling to Bankok for dinner with some friends (man I wish I worked for aircanada, FREE FLIGHTS!). His name is Jason, and he might come through Japan for a visit sometime.

6 in the am
At about 630 this morning a got up and adventured around town (in a t-shirt yea!) and drank black, cold, coffee in a can :) and it was spectacular.
black coffee in a can
The taste was so crisp and pure, I could hardly believe it was coffee. I lifted the small can to my parched lips and then, out of nowhere, BAM!! A GIANT HELLO KITTY FELL FROM THE SKY AND LANDED ON A PASSING HONDA!!!!!! OMG OMG, AND THERE GOES THAT UNICORN AGAIN! I reach for my camera and ITS GONE!!!! the little man carrying a marshmallow has it stuck to his foot. I dance around furiously trying to get his attention. I do the sprinkler, I try the worm, and finally catch his eye with the chicken dance. He returns my camera, but unfortunately Godzilla devoured all evidence that could have proven my story to be correct. EVERY FREAKING TIME! I continued my pointless sight-seeing journey until I felt content, and ended it off with a sandwich and a carton of coffee milk. and here I am now.
