Our long lost friend Bill Wonderlin and his wife Linda met us at Max and Gudrun's place and we headed into Philadelphia. The heat was scorching with the humidex at 114 degrees F. I was outvoted for doing the Rocky steps and the family also conspired to give Washington, DC. a miss in favour of heading back north to the land of ice and snow. After New York, Philadelphia had a tough act to follow, we found a great market for our Philly cheese steak, but there big tourist attraction was cracked (Liberty Bell).
