Halong Bay, Vietnam

on tuesday left early for the bay its about 3-4 hours drive away. we got to our private boat in time for lunch, the boat is 3* and has bedrooms and dining rooms and roof top for sunbathing. we sailed all around the bay looking at the limestone things. we visted a cave and walked around for bit. we then stopped off at an island and went for a swim then climbed to the top for a good view of the bay u could see really far and there were loads of other ships crusing around as well. then we found a spot to anchor for the night. swam off the side of the boat to cool down and refresh for dinner. After dinner we had a few drinks and there was karoke they vietnmise people love to sing. we swam in the sea and the brave/drunk people jumped off the top of the boat. then i got stung by a jellyfish so felt to leave the water it really hurt, some guys stayed in the water till 1 of them got stung really badly the jellyfish was wrapped around his neck i have never seen anyone in that much pain. this morning we crusied around the bay nobody wanted to swim we were all too scared of the mountains of jellyfish surrounding the boat. then after lunch we drove back to hanoi.
4 more people are joing the tour today as they missed the begining cause they were put in isolation at the airport and sent to hospital for swine flu but they tested negative so have been allowed to join us. will spend tomorrow in hanoi before we board the overnight train to Hue tomorrow night.
