Spent the past few days in several little towns in Southern Peru on my way from Lima to Arequipa.

Ballestas Islands - The poor manīs Galapagos. Tons of wildlife, including penguins, sea lions, and lots of sea birds.

Huacachina - A small town surrounded by sand dunes, with a small but beautiful lake. Did sandboarding (basically, snowboarding on sand dunes), which was very interesting. It is nice and soft, does not hurt at all. Although I did gain quite a few pounds after sandboarding because of all the sand in my shoes and pockets.

Nazca - The famous Nazca lines, which are gigantic drawings left on the desert ground by natives thousands of years ago.
