Have you heard about the heatwave here?? its been over 100 degrees F. with around 80-90% humidity! its finally down in the low 90s or something. Thank god!!!

I just returned from a 3 day trip through Tuscany. Our plan was to spend the first day in Florence, but i had to stay behind to try to work out a UPS/credit card issue and tried to meet them at the Galleria dell' Accademia. Stuff went awry and to make a long story short I missed our reservation by 1 1/2 hours. I did however manage to sneak into the museum which was shockingly small but I saw David. I never realized how HUGE he is...in his entirety I mean. I mean he's really tall ;)
Anyway, I then rented a bike and rode around Florence. I saw the Duomo and other stuff but really didn't care much for the city. It was very similar to Rome but more touristy and grumpier people.
I finally cruised into Lucca which is where we were staying for the whole trip. Kelly and Heather were so nice to meet me at the train station and lead me to the hostel!
