I just got back from our trip to Positano. It is so beautiful there and we had a really great time. This city is on the Mediterranean coast and everything is built on/into the cliff. I thought I was going to seriously relax but our 94 stairs up to our apartment in Rome is nothing compared to the 796 steps from our hostel to the beach!!
we eventually found a short cut and a bus that would take us up, but we still had to climb a couple hundred to get to the bus.
Anyway, there were 10 of us that went and we all got along really well. We hung out at the beach by day and partied by night. There were a few exciting incidents such as a puke fest on the windy road going from Serento to Positano. (6 hours of 2 trains and 2 buses to get there from Rome by the way) Somehow I slept through most of it and woke up to Rebeca telling me that she just puked on Arrehly's banana 5 minutes after Rebeca puked

.
Darcy and I got on the wrong bus and took a mini trip a few towns away. That was somewhat exciting.
The most exiting part was more of a 'you had to be there' story. Basically we all decided to skip the stupid 2:00 curfew and sleep on the beach in the beach chairs until they opened the doors at the hostel at 7:00am. Someone decided they wanted to try to get in and being a drunken herd we all followed. After an hour or so of Darcy banging on the door; Allison scaling the wall; and Chad screaming his Jan (pronounced Yawn, a Belgium professor here)
impression, they let us in probably just to shut us up. They were LIVID!!! We felt like such asses the next day. The funniest part is that by the time we got in it was 6:00am - one hour before they were unlocking the doors anyway. Silly drunk Americans!

Oh yeah! Another crazy thing happened. Me and Arrehly had to stand on the bus and were in the back stair well on the way out of Positano. Same road as the puke fest. One of the passengers on the bus hit some button and the door went flying open and Arrehly was literally flapping in the wind holding on for her life. The next thing i knew... I had scooped her up in my arms. Luckily she's like 100 lbs. I didn't even drop my coca cola lite! My heart was pounding for a half an hour after that. It was quite the drama.

Talk to you soon!
