Today we took a bus tour to wine region. We spent many hours in a very comfortable tour bus which was a godsend for the many of us who have desperately needed to catch up on our sleep! We sketched some churches. I'm most fascinated by the rich history of Italy and the urban evolution over so many thousands of years. The materials and craftsmanship are also beautiful to me. We walked through some beautiful Tuscan streets with so much character and charm. Just what you'd expect from postcards and movie sets set in this country ...but it's still so much more amazing in person.

we went to Multepulciano where the Contucci vineyard is located and were able to taste and buy local wine. Later we went to Pienza which is famous for it's cheese. One of the stores was full of shelves filled with blocks of different beautiful moldy cheeses. Some people thought it was gross but i loved it.

I'm really here

Travelling in a group of 30 people is really not my style. It can be very frustrating actually. Good thing that I really like most everybody! I don't like being so conspicuous and annoying! On the other hand, travelling like this is taking us to some great places and we're learning so much!

I REALLY miss everybody! Especially YOU Topher!
