Fifteen years ago I traveled from Portand, OR, to Ouray, CO, to ice climb in the box canyon.  The city of Ouray holds an annual ice climbing festival for a week in January.  I traveled with a dear friend and climbing partner Martin, and we met one of our sponsored climbers from Austria.  The three of us had a blast ice climbing together and selling gear.  At the time I was selling technical climbing gear of all kinds for a company called Advanced Base Camp.  I have been blessed and cursed by living a very interesting life.  Praisin for God's mercy.

Today I got to revisit the box canyon with my best friend, my wife.  I found a place to down climb into the gorge and canyoneered a bit, just to relive some old memories.  God's grace is so awesome.  To be here in this place with Shannon was so good for my soul.  This is a really unique place and I wanted to share it with you all as well.  Grace and peace and much love to one and all.  Please get outside, even if it is in your own backyard, and praise God for His creation.  Praise Him out loud, He is a worthy God after all.  Praise Him and just stand or sit there for a while with Him, in awe if all that He has made for us.

Much love,
