We've been enjoying our time in Texas at my dad's house. Right now, this part of the trip really feels like vacation. Being at my dad's house is relaxing and of course anytime we've been here it's been a vacation so I'm in the mode. We've had the opportunity to see Tracey, my sister and her kids which was really fun. I miss them very much. It's been fun swimming, riding the four-wheeler and filling up on good Texas food. We've been putting the final touches on the jeep and getting our stuff organized and ready to go. We were also able to be here for my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Good times and good memories.
While we've been here, I've been reading a wonderful book by Marita Littauer entitled Wired That Way. It was a gift to me from Erin's mom, Anne. It has really been a blessing. Not only is it fun to read but it's inspired all kinds of conversation for my family. The book is about the different personality types and how each person reacts to life and how God can help us grow and live in our strengths instead of our weaknesses. We've had lots of fun analyzing each other and joking about how the book has pegged us pretty well. Thank you MIL for the wonderful book. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a good summer read!!
Until next time,

I'm so glad you guys are doing well! Vacations are a necessary part of life. Although your journey is different than mine, a vacation is still a vacation, no matter who you are! I miss you!
