Hi Everyone,

Arrived here in Albany yesterday evening having driven 400kms along the Albany Highway from Perth. It was a lovely trip, not many cars on the road. Could have been Ireland about 50 years ago! Saw 4 kangaroos, all dead.

The weather down here is a bit cooler, but ok cause there are electric blankets on the hotel beds!

Today we had such a day. Went out on a whale spotting trip for 3 hours. And did we see whales - 2 mothers with calves. The first calf was really playful and we have great video footage - but having trouble uploading photos or video to this site. But we have put the photos up on facebook so i'll put the link in at the end. The second mother and calf swam under the boat - she was only a few feet away from us, I nearly cried.

Afterwards we went to the Marron Farm and spent ages in their Aviary with loads of different parrots savaging us for the food we'd been given for them. Loads of pics of that on Facebook! Also had lunch there, marron of course, and yabbys and octopus - it looked so good we took a picture of it - it's on facebook of course!

Then onto Torndirrup National Park where there are some pretty amazing natural granite formations, with the sea breaking through them, the gap, bridge and blow holes. (One of those blew as I was standing over it and I nearly jumped off the cliff with the shock!!!

Lastly back here, to record it all and upload the photos to our Facebook site,
