When the delivery finally arrived, there was only one mattress, but that was OK because the expected weekend guests were flexible enough to make adjustments. Once the mattress was on the ferry (which delayed departure to accommodate Warren), we were off across the Pitt Water, making a number of stops before landing at Mackerel Beach.
There are no cars and trucks at Mackerel Beach (although there was a motorized boat on tripod wheels -- the local handyman's transport)
We stopped for a quick beer and some lambingtons and were entertained by one of the local Kookaburras as he sat on the deck railing begging for food. Warren cut up a bit of our lunch steak strips and fed the bird.
A neighbor called up and came over to help Marie get the lunch together.
Warren had to pick up a trophy in the Sydney CBD before 6, so we caught the ferry and did a bit more sightseeing
Richard decided that this was the opportune time to take the tripod and head back to Circular Quay for night shots, so we spent a couple of hours doing just that.
