Woke up in the van with the moon roof and door open and the realisation that around 17 mossie bites were forming on my body, including 4 on my face. Watch out ladies, I'm a handsome devil! Showered and left the campsite around 10am and made my way into Caloundra which turned out to be one of the unknown gems I discover from time to time on this trip. The town has a great beach and part of it was already full of surfers waiting in line for the next wave. Took a stroll along the beachfront then took off for Brisbane.

Got to Brissy early afternoon, after a couple of stopovers. Made my way to the part of the city where Roe is living and he duly met me where I had parked the van. Good to see him again, particularly as his tan was fading as quickly as mine was increasing. We exchanged our stories at Tali's house (his girlfriend) then headed to the library to take advantage of the free wifi. Needed to book my flight to Melbourne though Roebo wasn't sure if he was going to make it - Gaffney and a few others wil be there however so all is not lost. Booked myself into a hostel right in the centre of Brisbane and after showering and changing, headed out for a few drinks.

Brisbane is a great city to visit, especially down where the bars and restaurants are at the riverside. Could easily see myself living there but how many times have I said that in the last three weeks. We headed down there for a bite to eat then made our way to a basement bar at the hostel i'm staying at, where we would meet Tali later. While we waited for her, we managed to get ourselves involved in a dressing up competition that the hostel folk had organised in the pub. The details are glossed over I would say!  Tali, who had been at a gig, turned up at around 10.30pm  - we chatted for a while then it was time for her to head home so we called it a night and I made my way up the stairs to my kip.
