Last great race.. or something like that. Went downtown to watch the racers pass on the way to Eagle River. "Celebratory Start" for Iditerod 2007. They run up to Eagle River with their handler and (I suppose) the people who won the auction for the ride (you'll see what I mean in the photos). From there they go up to Willow for the real start... and then it's a whole lotta miles to Nome
