Where I stayed

The Kenai is supposedly Anchorage's backyard playground- it is beautiful. There are huge mountains, moose, water, BLUE lakes and rivers, quaint towns (and tourists), lots of fishies and wildlife cruises, and glaciers (of course). For the sake of not sounding like a tourist brochere, I'll keep this short.

In June, I went out on a wildlife cruise with my roommate and her mother. No whales or dolphins spotted- but we did see some other wildlife. The cruise came out of Seward.

In June and July, I took two trips to Kenai (that I can recall)...maybe 3... who knows. Like I said- Anchorage's playground. I go down there for the drive when I'm bored. The scenery is worth it. I went to Seward again to see Exit Glacier- coolness. Walked under a glacier... blue ice, dripping, frigid.

Went down to Kenai/Soldotna in July for work- stayed at the Kenai Landing- an old cannery that has been converted to a resort complete with a place to stay and shops and a restaurant. Main attraction, of course, is the salmon fishing.

And that's all... pics to come up next. Enjoy :)
