Well, this entry is short because I ain't payin' another $2 for another 15 minutes. I've got 13 minutes to write this all out.

Checked out of the Super 8 in Whitefish this morning. The skies were a bit cloudy, but it was probably going to be a warm sunny day there. I headed north on 93 until I hit the Canadian border. Customs was brilliantly easy- why, where, and who? Continued on 93 and eventually the sky seriously clouded over- black clouds hid the mountains. Then there was a bit of rain.

Highlights of the day (quickly!): Kooteney (spelling?) National Park in B.C. was AWESOME. I didn't stop- was just passing through the huge deep gorge that the road ran through. Ivernane on the Lake (again... spelling) offered an awesome cup of soup and a grilled ham and cheese. Comfy little town where I finally managed to pick up some Canadian $$$. (ATM's in these parts are not easy to find...) The mountains I drove through were amazing- even if they were partially hidden by the clouds. There were deep blue-green streams and lakes, snow edged trees below the clouds, green grass below (question: why is Canadian grass still green while U.S. grass was that pale green yellow color?). Coming into Alberta, I saw my first bighorn sheep!!! I was driving along and caught movement to my right. Threw on the brakes and slowed and the guy bounded back into the woods. He looked a little young- his horns were not quite curling around, but they were definitely the big thick horns of a bighorn. I drove to Banff... was not too excited- especially since the clouds were still hanging. I drove to Lake Louise Village, found the hostel and checked in. From there, I explored Lake Louise and Morraine Lake. Blue blue blue water with mountains and glaciers... and still a bit cloudy, but the sun was definitely coming through. I hate rushing this, I have so much more to describe. But I must rush....

Will stay here tonight and maybe grab a beer, heh? :) It's aboot time.

Tomorrow: Icefields Parkway to (hopefully) Dawson Creek, where I get to see Dawson and Pacey and whoever the hell else lives there.
