In Indonesia, it is the rainy season (musin hugen) now. But all the locals, including expats, were a little unnerved by the continous rain. That isn't normal. Usually just a short downpour each afternoon. Global warming was mentioned.

In Myanmar, it is the dry season, and the last few days in Inle Lake and Yangon it rained a lot. The expression is moh ywar dei - rain (litterally 'sky coming down', who expected Chicken Little here?)
That, too, isn't normal. All day rain is typical of monsoons, which CNN intl weather said was moving ashore from the Bay of Bengal. More global warming?
