Show trip route
been more than a week after my last entry.
it has been a hectic time in Salvador where i spent the carnival.
We arrive on friday, when the official carnival starts ( the people have been enjoying themselves for a month). After dropping off our luggage to a a friends family house where we are staying, we went to Barra, the Shopping Barra mall where we met Max, a US guy staying for the carnival. He showed us around, where the action will take place. We went to the t-shirt black market. Why is it an important market? This is all why people come to Salvador to have a good time. The carnival consists of trucks of different musicians, which is each surrounded by a group of people, all wearing the tshirt of the truck they follow.
After the carnival, we changed accommodation and stay in a hostel in the centre of Pelourinho, very pretty place. i loved the small string of roads up and down hill. it gives a very warm feeling. Met so many people for all over the world. Met french-brazilian musicians that played during the carnaval, when to the beach, walk around the city. I LOVE SALVADOR!
but we cannot stay there forever and have to continue our journey around the country. So we had to say goodbye and leave to Porto Seguro, on our way to the Pantanal.
This will be told in the next message...until then, take care!
