We continued south and stopped at Boston Pizza in Edmunston, NB for lunch. On the way to Fredericton Jen noticed that we were going to pass close to the world's longest covered bridge in Hartland. We took the short side trip to the bridge and took a few pictures. We then continued on to Fredericton all on 4-lane highways - a pleasant surprise!

We were going to stop in Fredericton but as we got such an early start, I suggested that we continue onto St John. We arrived in St John at 4:30 (after 705 km/441 mi) and checked into the Comfort Inn. The clock in the room was an hour fast! We had forgotten the time change at the Quebec/New Brunswick border. So we are now 4 hours ahead of the west coast!

We had a well-deserved G&T as we unloaded the van, then I took Mattie for a walk Still a lot of snow in the fields
Still a lot of snow in the fields
. Then we headed to the Reversing Falls restaurant for dinner - Jen wanted sea food for a change.

We returned to the hotel about 8:30 and Jen crashed. She did not have her afternoon rest today so as she said "my legs feels like jelly."

So what do we think of New Brunswick? Well it's nice, has great roads, and lots of trees! I mean trees....trees everywhere. Apparently there are 40,000 wood lot owners in New Brunswick!

Tomorrow we are going to drive west to St. Andrews then return to St. John and continue east to St. Martins on the coast and then onto Fundy National Park, Hopewell Rocks and Moncton.
