i had weekend off, and decided to go to mount cook for the day, as Jans friends were going

an hour away from tekapo, and you can tell you are going into another completley different place

the whole mountain cook nation park was just out of this world, one of my favourite places ive been to in NEW ZEALAND
\no one there, apart from the tourists for easter weekend, but really truly empty space of nothing, it felt like you were on another planet, very isolated

only a couple of places to stay in Mount cook, didnt stay thoguh, day trip up

sadlt the weather was misty, raining and cloudy so one of the walks we wanted to do we couldnt due to the fact that you wouldnt see anything if you walked up

we did the Tasman glacier instead, and its the buggest glacier in new zealand

i few iceburgs on top, but the glacier whihc is retreating was formed 20,000 years ago and was underneather the lake top, so you cant in fact actually see it

i just loved walking up to see it, and loved where we wer, moutnains all around, i felt so lucky to be able to see it

maybe i'll pop to mount cookm and do another walk, but its getting cold in New zealand now, the seasons are a changing!
