We did manage a lie in!!
though sleeping in a tent results in the sun beaming out at midday and there for waking you up earlier than you hope as you just melt!
tenting is the cheapest way though, DOC campsites in NZ are fantastic though, they are a toilet and running water which you do have to neutralise but the cost less than 6pounds to stay at a night!!
after putting down tent, quick promite (there are about 4 different veggie extract spreads here!!)
on bread we ventured on the track and we were trying to work out what to have for dinner that night

the nearest resort cost too much
so we walked on and due to the heat that day and walking up hills basically all day we did not manage to walk as far as yesterday
but we both prefered taking our time
it was such a gorgeous day and we were able to take in the scenery! loved todays tramping
we arrived at Bays cove, though hungry as noodles on its own doesnt fill you up
it was freezing too we had pasta and promite broth which wasnt bad!!
sterilsing water was not fun when you were thirsty!!
only problem with tramping is filling up your water bottle
we had to wait all day to get to camp to fill up
the streams in NZ used to be clean and pure and you could drink out of them but now due to bugs and animals you cant take the risk

put on all clothing and ate the last bit of food, thank goodness for Johnnys thick warm sleepung bag, i would have froze in my thin one
