compared to coffs harbour with flooding rain, port is completley opposite, wel so far :)
after sally dropped me off to the station which i was so grateful for!! i had to get a train to wauchope and then wait 3 hours for a bus connection, wasnt too bad
i went round the opp shops and then sat in a cafe for an hour and read, a way to kil time
then first time in ages i had someone pick me up :) my name written on the sign o ye i have missed that
Annas good friend Tracy and tracys friend Sharee were there
then after dinner round tracys back to Annas home, which is where im staying for a few days
anna is a daughter of jane who is one of my mums associates at her office, its great to have contacts, and lets just say annas place is so gorgeous, and you couldnt have a btter location!!
right ont the river, where dolphins swim, port has lots of koalas living in the wild too
also kangeroos, which saw first one in the wild!!! they are huge beasts and could easily ruin your car and get you off the road!!!
yesterday had a lay in, seriously sleep was good :)
then shown the north shore beach lovely!!
anna's house is a ferry ride across the hastings river away from the the main port
so beaches this side and beautiful beaches across, there is only houses this side, no shops and the ferry wait can annoy people but anna doesnt mind, and serioulsy her house is in a setting where you truly wouldnt mind!!
then with Sharee tracys friend went to the koala hospital, only place in the world that exists!! a place where wild koalas are taken to get better, they were so cute!!
learnt about different reqsons why these bears are dying out, the place is mainoy run by volunteers, and the place since the 1970s has released hundreds back into the wild after getting better!!
when there are forest fires, the people at the hospital are travelling across the country to rescue the cute bears, seriously are goregous!!
anna and tracy work at the hospital so on different shifts al the time
tracy varies shes a paramedic, Anna is a doctor and works 3-11pm so evening to myselfs, last night sharee kept me company and it was great to have a beer and watch the sunset
then today all four of us ladies walked a bit and had tea and breakfast near the beach
the waves are great here and so had to swim in the sea
then back to tracys house for lunch and more swimming and relaxing, i have to say im loving this relaxing few days, needed a break from busy days!!
