Pushkar name comes from the Brahma believe whihc is one of the three main gods to do with Hinuism, Brahma was on a lotus flower and the holy town was berlieved to be created from one of Brhama's lotus petals falling down on this area in the hills
the area was definitly tranquil, many hindus pilgramage to this area in India to one of the only Brahma temples in the world!!
you can also have a special ritual in the lake in Pushlkar which is said to be holy, it is to do with the Hindu religion, they do special ritual, very hoily, if you believe in that thing!!
