spent the day repacking my ruckie ready to change trucks tomrow
9 of us brits head for botswana tomo\row as a last stop on the way to Johannesburg in South Africa
yesterday was another adrenlin day after bungee friday, white water rafting was way more scarier yesterday
the white water rafting is one of the best in the world down the zambezi, didnt do in Jinga in Uganda so wanted to do it here
though the falls are in full glory the rafting is at its best, aand you do it all day from ealry mrnong start till late afternnon
one of the best excerise ive done in a long time!!
i found it way more scary as when you went under, which i could only hack three times then i had to ask to move to the non flipping boat, as when u go under you feel youre not going to come back up again!! you feel liek you are going to drown big time!!!
there are 5 grades, grade 5 being the worst and the most you are goin to flip on but grade 3-4 were fun to ride on sdo didnt mond them
when you werent goin thorugh rapids you were looking at crocodiles on the side, ye you dont swim in the water only in the safe parts!! but the gorge itslef the zambezi river flows thorugh is beautiiful in itself!!!!
other than packing today and getting rid of stuff, we headed to the market to trade all our goods we didnt need, in afirca they want anything you can give, so we traded bottles, clothes and t-shirts, towels name it weve probably traded it along our way to the end of africa
but also on the last night with the fellow truckies, and 9 of us head onto Hyena tomorow we went to a drumming session at the livingstone civic art centre which was amzing !!!!!!!!!
2 hours of drumming on western african drums from Ghana we all got into it beating alongside the drummers up front, the african drum was wicked to drum!!
then the final last meal :(
its going to be sad to say goodbye to the pumba lot on the other truck as youre with them for 5 weks some of them, hopefully we'll keep in touch!!
