it took 4 hours to 'croc valley' which is the campsite we are staying at for 2 nights. we are off to 'luangua national park' for another game park! on the way down the mud dirt track road we stopped off at a local village as a part of the truck had to be sorted, it was great to mingle with the locals and they are genuinely lovely people just like Ugandans, they are not after your money, we did give the kids some sweeties which they wre all scrambling for!

croc park when we arrived straight away you an see its got no fences and no borders, its right on the game reserve!! across the river was the national aprk, and in the river itself there are hipos, which are known to kill many people, also crocs too the owner of the campsite tod us straight away to be aware that elephants, hippos and monkeys will tryto steal any food going so no food in tents was said straight away.

the afternoon was spent by the pool and the evening was a night game drive, first obe yet!

21 of us fitted into a bigish safari truck like the ones you do se on the tv!\

fred was our ltour guide and he had a guy help him cary the spot light to try to seek the animals out, pretty hard going.
straight away a lion was siting on the road as w entered the park, and we got pretty scarily close to him. the ark itself compared to the Serengeti was much smaller but with way more bushes and trees and foliage for the animals to hide in so it was hard to see the animals when the sun went down. thog the sunset was a great part we stoped right on the river, but when it went down hard to see the animals. though fred did drive down on off track routes and we did nearly see a leopard, we saw a pride of lions 16 in total quite a different experience though seeing a national park with the big five- elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos and buffalo in… we did get to see a serval they are hard to see normally.
