Where I stayed
just got back from the serengeti world hertitage national park site!!!
the most beautiful biome and place ive ever been to on this trip and i suppose in my life so far!!!
it was gorgeous and it beat my expecations!!!!
got up early on sunday had awesome brekkie!!! i put tent down trust me harder and more complicated then putting up, but hey 5 weeks i'll get ace by the end!! met some new two newbies steph and james, placed into safari truck groups, with jess, jen, james, Chris and his partner sorry her name is Iranian so cant remember :( and two other peeps from the other absolute africa truck, (ye absolute trucks overlap here popular destination!!) ryan and Kirby, awesome australians
we went off early in truck to the Ngororo national conservation area (have to go through here to get to the serengeti!!) with livingstone who was our desingated tour guide!!
went through past the view of the crater, whihc is a dormant volcano erupted over 2million years ago , very fertile land aniamls now live there permantely saw today!¬!!!
but our aim on the sunday was to head for the serengeti national park< lion king!!!!!!!
seriously though driving thoruhg to the serengeti seeing giraffe, ostriches in the wild you have to pinch yourslef that you are in the african SAVANNAH!!!!! i did anyway, absolultely beautiful and inspiring ive never seen anything liker i did iver the last three days!!!
i took about 600 pics so hoipefully put them up sooner rather than later
had a two hour game drive aka proper safari on the sunday saw some lions and a leopard on the trree and other species of cats absoultely amazing!!! hippos too!!
arrived in camposite with no fences so no food could be laid out as animals may trawl toiwards camp ahhhh
had camp food lovely then slept
ealry start for monday!!!! half 5 in the morning for an early game drive!!!!
literally saw lions pouncing for their prey but we missed the kill of a giraffe!!! gutted, saw a cheetah in distance, and also leopared more closer in the trree, and also a hered of elephant absolutley beaituful"~!!!!!
my digital camera not good for far away animal shots but ive got email adresses to access some amazing animal shots"!!!!! serously so many peeps with proper huge pucker cameras, ye didnt ahve, but i will show you some of the photots i saw¬!!!!
we thne headed for Nuguro crater which was base camp for sunday night, but on the way saw a massia tribe which was really cool but sad that tourism is the basis :( learnt about their lifestyle i would have been married 3 years ago, men marry at 25, soldiers before, wear gorgoues wamr tribe clothing and have many ear rrings! they did a tribe dance and we got to see their little houses!! the massai move on every so often ehich is why their houses are so small!!
awesome to see a tribe still!!!
then the nurgoro crater whihc cos we saw the tribe we were late arrriavel apparently elephants were at camp before we arrived and we did see zebras in camp too, it was so cold and my 1 season sleeping bag not so good for the icy cold conditions!! i wore everything on me (we packed a 3 dayer day bag and also no shower whilst on safari!!) so just layered up still had the worst sleep cos i was so cold, coldest part will be in tho, so not too worried about bag, fingers crossed more worried about elephants trampling on tent
good night though early start again and went into the nurguro crater and saw flocks of flaminogs and also a black rhino whihc is rare to see, so many zebras, lions and also wildbeast!! awesmome pic of zebras running behind, another lion eating its kill
now in Massia camp after seing the cultural heritage centre in Arusha with beautiful Tanzanite a gorgeous stone now my fave a beautiful blue, the cnetre had awesome carivings too
had a lovely bbq, 6 people leving from truck now
huge journey to Dar se lam capital of tanzania tomorow
