Where I stayed
first day in a new country and the journey this mornnig was the best one ever though the plane was late but this is africa as youve gotta say to yourself all the time!!!
met some cool texan americans whilst waiting int the queue to load off stuff, lovely people they had been to see where their sponsership money had gone for world vision which was really cool i thoguht!!
also the jet we flew on was the smallest plane id ever been on in my entire life!!!! literally 16 peopel on the plane with 10 seats spare, it was so cute!!
also gettin visa fine, going through boarders compared to Uganda it was dead, awesome and quick whihc was good as the plane was delayed by half an hour!!
Kenya cold, compared to Uganda, serously bisy getting into Nairobi and the airport pick up was fine, the guy was there whooop name samson nice fella good to know a reliable taxi firm in Kenya, as already ive heard the dodgy stories of 'Nairorobbery' but hey you got to be on the ball further
the campsite is lovely thoguh of the road secure and 3km out of the main city!!
maybe see some of the sites tomorow, didnt bother today, well tried finding banks had no luck well i did but i fancy someone being there cos apparenklty they know the locasls do if you have money, and they will get you, er dont fancy that
tomorow fingers crossed
spent today chilling, local supermakret working out currency rate, (more expensive than Uganda）but the supermarkets are awesome!
hung out with some irish the first i met, and ye they know how to drink as they were hungover!! but they just finsihed volunteering anhd helped build an aid orphange in Tanzania which sounded amazing!! there for 5 weeks!!! so now chiling for flight tmoz, nairobi definitly is a stop off point before flying
Though found out that the drought is seriously bad in Nairobi 5 mins shower max, and every other day :( pretty awful makes you feeel how lucky you are
ye also meet a fellow traveller on my overland tour tomoz pretty excited about that!
so we will see what Nairobi has to offer!!!!
