spent today at Jinga, the boda to jinga today when it thunderstoredm heavy and holing a hevay gas cansiter in betwen me and the driver, probabyly not wise, but he went real safe. i had to buy cereal from a supermarket cos i missed it so much, it was amzing!!! serously not getting used to the carbs, i dont think my body is either, but 'matuku' thats the green banana cooked, very yummy!!
went to Jinga for bits and bobs today, but in fact the main reason was for the agriculture fair!!
it was the main one in all of Uganda, all over people came, it was so so so busy!! probs because it was saturday
there were stalls of tourist bits and bobs, i bought some ear-rings my first souvernir, but it felt like a musical festival in the UK but based on agriculture. Very informarive to help the Ugandans get into organic fameing, and to farm to make monet successfuly, many school students came to learn about the countries main income and to see how they grow and sell food
there was also a mini zoo with the largest snake in it whicch was pretty cool.
the bodas selling ice cream was a site too, defintly africa not england
enjoyable very enjoyable, tiring though in the heat in the afternoon, but t was great to see an african fair, even kenyans came across the border to sell their goods, the 17th agriculture fair it was, very popular each year!!
