Today was a bit rainy - I tried to visit Robbens Island (the Alcatraz of CapeTown) but the water was too rough to navigate (or swim), so I revisited many of the museums in CapeTown. I don't really appreciate the art, but there were a couple of fascinating memorials to the times of apartheid, including a museum that showed how non-whites had their homes and neighborhoods taken with no compensation, and a trip to the Slave House, where the slave trade and life of a slave could be seen. The feature display this month is on our Civil Rights Movement (and how similar our rules were to apartheid). The other museums (art, National Gallery, planetarium, and the Bo-Kaap) were fine, but I don't really get art and am not a stars/planetary guru, so they get lost on me. I walked around a ton, and the sun came out for a few hours. Tonight, off to the Winelands again, and will have some fun and play some golf tomorrow. See you soon!
