The following day we had to fit in Oxford, a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, a look around there and then the trip to Doncaster. We only got to see one more college, New College, founded in the late 1300s, and see the Bodleian Library from the outside. We made our train to Stratford and then rushed round seeing all the Shakespeare landmarks. And I mean rush! We got about 15 mins in Anne Hathaway's cottage (no, not from The Devil Wears Prada fame), which was a shame because it was gorgeous. We JUST got in in time to see Shakespeare's birthplace, which was awesome.  We got to see the actual room where he was born. Both buildings are REALLY old and so lovely. Our bus tour also took us past Shakespeare's mother's farm, and the place where he died.
