Now we are in Samana. A place everyone said would be ok for a night but we´ve loved it. Just a beautiful, relaxed seaside town. We´ve changed hotels but both are cheap but comfortable except the one we´re in now is extremely noisy. Especially in the mornings. We have loved having dinners as the sun sets here and either going out for the day or just relaxing at the waterfront.
Had to go meet Sarah after her whale-watching expedition here in Samana. She really enjoyed it. No, Mike and Clive, I was not out there swimming around! We had a quick lunch then hired a scooter. Sarah drove us around. She loves speed that girl and whenever there was a straight she gave it full throttle. I think many people thought it highly amusing that I was the passenger because we got a few smiles but also I guess it was a little unusual for women to be riding motorbikes. A few showed off by trying to race us but we didn´t take the bait. They knew the roads pretty well and you had to given the number of potholes and people riding on both sides of the road. We had a fantastic time though and found a wee cove with a lovely beach. Picture postcard stuff again.
Will be sad to leave this lovely little town.
