Cancun. Met some wonderful people in one of the hostels in Cancun. We formed a tight wee group and had huge talks in the morning and night about all kinds of things. John is English but working in Italy, Dicky is an American and 83 years old, Natalia and Lukas are Argentinian, Matt and Stacey are Americans living in Guam and Abdul is a Professor at Texas University and originally from India. I guess I just wanted to mention them because in a relatively short space of time we became friends and vowed to keep in touch and when we could, catch up with them. There is also the French couple, Valentine and Carolina, and Luka from Sicily and Hugh fom Ireland. Incidentally Hugh emailed us saying he'd been robbed and beaten up in Cuba and had made a quick exit back to Mexico. Not always safe out here either you know.

Anyway, we reluctantly left our new found friends in Cancun. Dickey had delighted in giving Sarah a hard time about her accent at every chance which was a huge laugh for the rest of us. The Argies talked us into doing a haka for them while we were drunk one night. Luckily we were too drunk to do it so asked for a rain check. They are expecting one when we see them in Argentina later. Been a while since I've done the haka so will have to search my memory banks for a simple version. Abdul was great to talk to about politics because he had grown up in India and gave us new insight towards the culture and the state of politics in the country. wow. We have no idea what some countries go through.
