Well, Tijuana was cool: 3 million people there, didn´t know that! Our internet friends (no theydidn´t rob us) took us out to tea at an amazing mexican restaurat - so beautiful! Mariachis playing mexican music as local hombres serenaded their ladies, drank pina coladas (it was two for one night) and clamatos (tequila, tomato juice, lemon, tbasco sce and yes, clams!) and talked and laughed till about midnight. Richrad speaks 4 languages: English, Spanish, French and Italian and spent two years at the Sorbonne. He has written three books and nearly died last year when he was run over on the motorway by a Nissan Pathfinder while helping two little ol´ ladies! He now works as a facilatator between Mexican and American businesses. Cristina was born in Mexico City but grew up in Guadalajara. They were amazing.

Caught bus to Caborca - 9 hours!!! Groan!  Another internet friend arranged us a night free at a nice hotel and second night half price. In NZ this would be a 4 star hotel, cost bout $150? here costs normally $35. We went to pay for the second night today, and senor Hector, owner and friend of our internet friend said, no, both nights free. Wow, so many lovely people in Mexico so far. Caborca is a desert town. Very dusty, little vegetation. The local people (especially guys) look just like the mexicans on TV! Jeans, shirt, cowboy hat and boots, mouustache, frown, tanned, weatheed skin . . .

We  head off to Hermosillo, Sonora state,  today and then carry on down the pacific coast to tourist resorts of Mazatlan and Acapulco.- Hasta la vista baby!
