The night was spent in a pub car park. Well, not exactly. The Railway Inn at Acklington has about 15 touring pitches so I decided – not being able to find anywhere else that would have me – to check in here, use their facilities to have a wash, (well I have been away a week now) and to have a pub meal
Oh, nearly forgot to mention. Wound the window down again!!! Tool kit out again and now working perfectly – again – until the next time!
While I’m at it. Note to Taffy Skinner. Thanks for your concern over the oil levels. I can report that the bus is going like a dream and hardly using a drop!!!
Any of you guys been to Druridge Bay? What a gorgeous stretch of sand. I walked for about three miles (in one direction) and never came close to the end of it. Trouble is, then I had to walk back! That bay must be 6 miles of beautiful soft sand. Beautiful...
I have to admit that my entire lower body was suffering from the military pace I’d maintained and I didn’t fancy any more exercise but on the list was the Northumbrian coastline castles. Popped into Craster so I could walk to Dunstanburgh Castle but the two mile walk from one to the other really did finish me off and I decided there and then to not walk any further today. Drove straight past Bamburgh but did stop to take a photo for the album.
