We spent the morning relaxing in our room. When we finally got up we walked into the living and said things like "Oh my god!" because we had completely forgotten about the spectacular view.

Erin and her friend, Lara, came by in the afternoon. They had been to the Big Island and in Maui for a few days already. Lara was flying back home in the evening and Erin was moving in with us for the remainder of our stay. Lucky girls got the showered version of us. They oohed and ahhed at the fabulous condo (as did we and everyone else who came by).

Sze and I went grocery shopping at Star Market on S. Kihei Road (note: everything that I give the street location of is S. Kihei Road). We bought a couple of pineapples, some fish, alcohol, and an assortment of other groceries. This came to about $150 which, while expensive by mainland standards (eggs for $4!) was a steal given that eating lunch out costs at least $25 in Maui.

We came home and made ahi fajitas for dinner. I have to say this is one of the best meals I've ever made. Maybe it's just because I have been feeling so food deprived after a week of camp food and mediocre restaurant fare. Of perhaps it was the joy and exhilaration of a full sized kitchen. Either way, dinner was damn good.

Erin took Lara to the airport after dinner while Sze and I watched the MTV music awards. We suddenly became TV junkies on this trip. All a part of the extreme relaxation I suppose.
