when we got back to the condo the hairdresser/makeup person was there working on jen. jennifer looked fabulous! her dress was absolutely gorgeous. i snapped lots of pictures of her getting ready.
then erin, sze and i threw on our clothes and caught a cab to the wedding site. we were the first ones there and watched while a flower path was being placed on the beach for the wedding.
the wedding was beautiful. jen and chris looked great. the setting and ceremony had a relaxed, casual feel to it. there were about 30 guests in all. a great wedding.
after some pictures we were off to the wailea golf club where the reception was held. dinner was delicious. we had macadamia crusted mahi mahi. not to mention the daiquiris, wine and champagne.
lots of guardian angels tried to help me fend of jen's dad's million questions about my non-existent boyfriend (thank you to erin, adriana, and chris' mom). i had my reasons for not telling him that the woman that i was with at all times was my girlfriend and that would not be getting married anytime soon unless i have the good sense to move to canada! everything was going so well that i didn't want to rock the boat by coming out to him (even though i was not the one rocking...)
toasts were made by the parents. chris' mom gave the sweetest toast and said that jennifer was the daughter she never had.
it's amazing that such a perfect evening was all planned online. i love the internet :)
