time flies when you are strategizing and relaxing. :)

slept in a little this morning, packed and headed out to downtown Aruba with a few other co-workers in search of gifts. there are lots of great jewelry stores in downtown Aruba. apparently, gems are cheaper than in the states and it's something you buy when you come to the island.

after a few souvenirs here and there, i ended up buying the girl a carribean topaz necklace. pretty subtle, very regional.. something you can't find elsewhere but in the carribean i guess (or that's what the dastard sales person said ;))

dreading the long flight home but looking very forward to getting back to work with renewed clarity.. a renewed sense of belonging to the ocean that i love.

must do: sail. sail. sail.
must return: yes. and island hop next time.
