First day in the Dutch Carribean! First thing that struck me as we were landing.. wow.. it's all desert-ty. It was alot dryer than I thought. I was thinking the tropics! Going through Aruban customs was a cinch. We gathered our luggage and walked outside to find a cab to take us to the hotel. As I walked out, the heat washed over me immediately and memories of Malaysia hit me. I started to notice all the unique things about Aruba. Yes, it's an island but it's dry... and VERY windy!
Today will be a slow day as we try to shrug off the long travel. Checked in to the Marriot Stelaris, got myself a ridiculous room with a view and a cool roomie (one of my co-workers) and embarked in tracking down other people from my company that have been already in Aruba for two days.
